Katherine opened the store and a new little first year walked in asking for help to find the right wand for him. "If Olivander was here he would say, 'The wand chooses the wizard!'" She said smiling to the first year. "Here let me give you something foundation.

Woods:
• Walnut - (January 21 to February 17) Wands made from the walnut are for knowledge, locating metal and general divination.
• Ash - (February 18 to March 31) Ash wands are good for healing and for general and solar magic.
• Willow - (April 1 to May 12) Its groves were considered so magical that priests, priestesses and artisans sat among these trees to gain eloquence, inspiration, skills and prophecies.
• Mahogany - (May 13 to June 30) Mahogany wands can be used for protection, love and marriage spells.
• Holly - (July 1 to August 16) Holly may be used in spells having to do with sleep or rest, and to ease the passage of death.
• Yew - (August 17 to September 30) The Yew may be used to enhance magical and psychic abilities, and to induce visions.
• Rosewood - (October 1 to November 24) Used for protection and help preparation for conflict of any sort.
• Maple - (November 25 to December 22) Maple wands can be used to drive out evil spirits.
• Birch - (December 24 to January 20) Used make love spells more powerful by the user.

Cores:
• Phoenix Feather – Very Magical.
• Dragon Heartstring – Hexes are a specialty of this core.
• Unicorn Tail – Best for the pure of heart.
• Leprechaun Hair – Somewhat temperamental to Non-Irish.
• Demiguise Hair – Only the best for Transfiguration.
• Hippogriff Talon – Excellent for Charm Work.
• Runespoor Fang – Best for those who deal with Dark Magic.
• Hair from the Mane of a Kelpie – Superb for all spells.
• Chimaera Scale – Very rare, yet very powerful.
• Ashwinder Ash – Casts the best protection charms.

And size...well what ever size you feel is good for you." She smiled the first year told her the information and so left with a new wand. "Please come again if you need another one!" she called.

"Here you are Adebola. One 12 inch Rosewood Phoenix Feather wand! 5 Galleons please." She smiled as she handed her the wand. "Take good care of it." Then she turned to Sophia. "Oh yes and this is for you. A maple 11 inches Phoenix Feather wand. Please made good use of it oh and that will be 5 Galleons." She smiled handing her the wand."

"Oh of course Betsy. What type of wand are you looking for?" After a few minutes of her waiting for Betsy to replay she turned to someone new she had never meet before. "While your thinking, I'm going to help this other girl." She walked over to the girl. "Would you like help finding a wand?"

Piper nodded and handed her an Ash wand first. It made a weird sound then kinda vibrated. "Okay well I guess this isn't the wood for you now lets try this one." She got a willow wand...Perfect. She looked at the box. It was a Willow 9 in with a Unicorn hair core." Well I guess this is the wand for you." She smiled as she put the wand back in the box and handed it to Dara Kendra.

Odin waited Patiantly at the long counter, as He notice Kathrine Piper had a few other customers.
