Odins Mansion

Odin sat down on his couch in his wonderful home.

Dara walked up the intimidating mansion. She walked up to the door, in awe.

"BAM!" screamed Odin as he opened the door.
"Hello, dont mind my 'intimidating' mansion. It was designed by Slytherins.
Infact everyone on my fathers side was a slytherin. Except me. Darn. Haha!"

"Well droop the gargoils drawers and tickle the lemon pink. A slytherin family producing a huffelpuff, were your parents disapointed?"

"My father was a bit fumbleboinked but he got over it."
"Would you like to come in?" he asked politly.

"About as much as I would like to meet Diricawl. Which I would like to meet one alot." Dara said enthusiastically.

"..that is a yes then?" he said. And as he said this, a giant Bat flew out of the door.

"YEEEEHAWWW!" shouted a voice from the window above.

"Oh dont mind her, thats Grandmother Gertrude. She's a former St. Mungos Residant."
The bat was struck by a red flash of light and dropped to the ground.
"GRANDMUH!" shouted Odin "DONT SCARE MY GUEST!"

Dara eyes opened wider than a double door of a community church. On account of she lived in a suburban house in a normal wizarding community she wasn't used to this at all. But she was very curious so she said.
"Well blast a banana, I will go into your house."

"yay!" Odin said.
He lead her into his large front room. It was decoraded in Heavy Blues and Cucumber Greens.
There many nooks and crannys, lots of books and lots of strange family heir-looms, and also one spinning-loom foled up in the corner. The walls had a very particular wall paper. It was Odins family tree that nearly all slytherin households had. This family tree grapevined into every room and posted pictures of the family members,(in black and white if they had died, and blasted off the wall if dis-owned.) below the family members picture, was there name followed by the vauge location of where they were at this very moment, ex: 44oN latitude; at a day spa, etc. This family tree was also on the ceiling. It was very hard to follow. Odin himself did not know how he was realated to any of them.

"So is your mother's family from slytherin too?"

"No, my mother went to Beauxbatons. She's a proffessor there you know!." he said with intellect.
"This house belonged to my uncle before he... well...fell into a pit of hot molten lava. And before that it was Grandmother Gerturde's, but she's well-" grandmother Gerturde ran accross the family room peeling an orange with her pet crow on her sholder, talking to it.(the Orange, not the crow).
"--never been the brightest patronus from the wand"

Dara giggled nervously. She came from a very "average" family. A normal day at her house, was her family would go on long walks and discuss modern books and politics, she liked this "spunky weird" wizarding family.

"GONG!" there was a loud 'gong' noise.

"Oh! Dinner is ready!" Odin proclamed. "Would you like to join us? well.. its acctually just me, Grandmother eats whenever she wants too. My father wont be home for another week. He's out catching fish."

Odin walked Dara Kendra into the dining room. There was a very long elaborate table with an abundance of food.

"WHOA!" said Odin. "This is WAYYYY too much food. We'll never eat all of this!"

"Oh my this table could feed the entire country of ethiopia, which I've never been, but stories go they need food." Dara sat down at the table and looked around for a gong.

Odin grabbed some food here and there and filled his plate.
"Help yourself" he said.

And Dara did help herself. She helped herself like an animal that doesn't need your help, because its helping itself. But anywho she enjoyed her meal.
"Pass the talking salt shaker please."

Odin grabbed the talking salt shaker, it was sitting next to the nagging peprika and the sneezing pepper.

After enduring some harsh words from the saltshaker Dara finished eating.
"That was a very good meal."
She excused herself to the restroom. As she traveled down the hallway she tripped over a rug. She looked back and it was a magic carpet. It hovered in the air for a while like a broom. 'Aren't those illegal?' Dara thought to herself.

Odin finished his plate.
"GONG!" there was a gong noise.
"Hrm..." Odin thought. "That must have been Dara Kendra flushing the toilet."

Dara came out of the restroom into the dining room.
"Are you aware that your toilet flusher gongs?"

"Yes," replied Odin. "A gong sounds when the toilet flushes, the doorbell is rang, when dinner is ready, and other numberouse reasons. You grow into it after a while." He smiled.

Dara was flabergasted.
"Well that's practically chineese."

"Yes, however my family is Flemmish, derived from Tuetonic." He smiled at her for making him chuckle by using the absurd word, "Chinese".

"Really well rub me yellow and call me charlie! I would have never guessed on account of you guys have gongs."

"Yes! We have Gongs alright. Our family has one really big gong.. however, we dont know where it is located...hrm." Odin thought to himself. He leaned on the wall next to the woman posted as "Elenor Wintyfred Monroe" gave birth to a baby, wich appeared below her as "Thomas Fredrick Monroe".
